School Day of Peace and Non-Violence

It is paramount to foster attitudes of peace and tolerance so that our students today will be peaceful and kind citizens tomorrow.

Today those who suffer any kind of violence in their lives have been especially present in our minds and hearts.

In order to observe this day, we have carried out a great deal of activities at school. In the English class we have created a colourful mural displaying our messages of peace and love. Have a look! And remember, as John Lennon said ... "give peace a chance"

Día de la Paz y la no Violencia en la escuela

Es crucial fomentar actitudes de paz y tolerancia para que nuestros alumnos sean conscientes de la importancia de resolver los conflictos de forma pacífica.

En el día de hoy han estado especialmente presente en nuestra mente y nuestros corazones aquellos que sufren cualquier tipo de violencia.

Para conmemorar este día hemos realizado una gran cantidad de actividades en el centro. En clase de inglés hemos realizado un colorido mural lanzando nuestros mensajes de paz y amor. ¡Echa un vistazo! Y ya sabes, como dijo John Lennon, "dale una oportunidad a la paz" 

Scents of Egypt

 Take a look at the first few images of the cross-curricular project about Egypt our students across the BEP program are carrying out this term as a special tribute to the centenary of Howard Carter’s discovery of King Tut’s tomb.

Scents of Egypt is only a ‘’smElly’ part of the bigger picture. #ESO2 students trained their sense of smell during last Monday’s #Physics and #Chemistry lesson with Ms Pradhan, Ms Mateos and Ms Muñoz in order to try to recreate the Chanel no 5 of Ancient Egypt: the Mendesian.

Burns Night

 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Bagpipes, golf, Loch Ness, castles, haggis … Yes, of course you´re thinking about Scotland!

• Today, many Scottish people celebrate BURNS NIGHT, which marks the anniversary of the poet Robert Burns’ birth, one of the most famous and celebrated Scots.
• Many mark the occasion by going to a Burns supper, an evening event that celebrates Robert Burns’ life and work.
• Everyone enjoys a hearty Burns Night meal (which includes haggis, neeps and tatties accompanied by whisky (if you´re of legal age, of course!) , some of Burns’ poems and songs are recited and tributes are paid to the great Bard.
• Today we learnt about Scotland and about this important tradition in the English class.

• Muchos escoceses celebran hoy la Noche de Burns, aniversario del nacimiento del poeta Robert Burns, uno de los escoceses más famosos y célebres.
• Muchos celebran la ocasión acudiendo a una cena de Burns, un evento nocturno que conmemora la vida y obra de Robert Burns.
• La gente disfruta de una abundante cena, que incluye platos típicos como el haggis y whisky (¡si eres mayor de edad, claro!) , se recitan algunos de los poemas y canciones de Burns y se rinden homenajes al gran Bardo.

Cheese Lover´s Day

 Cheese Lover's Day is celebrated on January 20 every year.

A cheesy day dedicated to all the cheese lovers. It comes as a celebration in love of none other than cheese. From cheddar to mozzarella, brie to blue, there is a cheese for every taste and occasion. Cheese can be enjoyed on its own, as part of a charcuterie board, melted on a sandwich or pizza, or even as a dessert. Which is your favourite?
