Scents from Egypt

A perfume wouldn’t be a perfume without a proper magazine/ tv advert. Have a look at the creations our #ESO2 students have made in English Literacy with Ms Cascos and Ms Muñoz as part of our cross curricular project about Egypt ‘Walk and Learn as an Egyptian’. Simple and direct language, catchy and easy to remember slogans and clever logos are the key for success in Advertising and our pupils know that. Really outstanding ads! Well done, class! 

Un perfume no sería nada sin su correspondiente anuncio publicitario. Estas son las estupendas creaciones que nuestro alumnado de #ESO2 ha realizado complementando la recreación del perfume de Cleopatra. Lenguaje sencillo y directo, slogans memorables y logos originales son la clave del éxito en publicidad y así lo han aprendido y plasmado en sus trabajos de English Literacy con Ms Cascos y Ms Muñoz. ¡Muy buen trabajo, chic@s!

Ancient Egypt pharaohs Fakebook profiles

This creative activity is included in the cross-curricular project "Walk ... and learn like an Egyptian". We had great fun in the Literacy class with Ms Gomez doing some research into the lives of the most remarkable pharaohs and writing a fake Facebook profile. Great job,class! Perfiles de "Fakebook" de faraones egipcios Esta actividad tan creativa se encuadra en el proyecto interdisciplinar "Camina ... y aprende cómo un egipcio". Nos lo pasamos genial en la clase de Literacy de 1° ESO buscando información sobre la vida de los grandes faraones y redactando perfiles imaginarios de Facebook.¡Buen trabajo,chicos/as!

It's revision time

It’s revision time! #ESO1 test their knowledge about vertebrates and invertebrates through a very engaging gap-fill speaking activity in #naturalscience. Overcoming communication problems and using our own linguistic strategies and shortcuts to solve these problems are the key to develop and attain multilingual competence and thus linguistic fluency. 🇪🇸 ¡A repasar! Con los exámenes a la vuelta de la esquina, nada mejor para refrescar contenidos sobre animales vertebrados e invertebrados que con esta interesante actividad oral en parejas que los alumnos han sabido resolver con éxito usando diversas estrategias lingüísticas.

Augmented Reality habitats with Merge Cube

AUGMENTED REALITY WORKSHOP

Yesterday we visited CEI Alba Plata in order to carry out a very interesting workshop on Augmented Reality with the students in 6th Grade. This activity, led by our great linguistic advisor, Cristina Muñoz, gave our 2nd year students the opportunity to mentor the younger students and teach them how to get started with the CoSpaces app. The result was a very pleasant time together, lots of laughter and some good products. Many thanks to Cristina and our wonderful students, and of course, to Ángela, headmistress of CEIP Alba Plata, always ready to welcome us with open arms, as well as to the friendly sixth grade students, who participated very actively in the activity. 

 Ayer visitamos a nuestros compañeros y alumnos de 6º curso del CEIP Alba Plata para realizar un taller muy interesante sobre Realidad Aumentada. Esta actividad, dirigida por nuestra gran asesora lingüística, Cristina Muñoz, dio la oportunidad a nuestro alumnado de 2º de ser mentores de los alumnos más pequeños y enseñarles a iniciarse en el uso de la app @CoSpaces . El resultado fue un rato muy agradable de convivencia, muchas risas y algunos buenos productos. Muchas gracias, a Cristina y a nuestros maravillosos alumnos, y por supuesto, a Ángela, directora del CEIP Alba Plata, siempre dispuesta a recibirnos con los brazos abiertos, así como al simpático alumnado de sexto, que participó de manera muy activa en la actividad.

Archaeologists for one day

Our students in ESO1 and ESO2 have had this unique opportunity to take part in some archaeological workshops in Huerta Otero, Mérida, accompanied by their teachers Ms Paniagua and Ms Gómez. An amazing experience,indeed! Arqueólogos por un día El alumnado de 1° y 2° ESO ha participado en unos talleres de arqueología súper interesantes en Huerta Otero, Mérida,organizado por el proyecto EPD Barraeca II. Gracias a sus profesoras Ana Belén Paniagua y Laura Gómez por acompañarlos en esta experiencia única y muy especialmente al arqueológo Pepe Vargas y su equipo.
